Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne Ecosanctuary has gifted Compassion Soup Kitchen Te Kīhini Hupa o Pūaroha several polar fleece jackets and t-shirts that are no longer fit for purpose — and thanks to Sister Josefa (pictured below) and her sewing team, they’ve been repaired, repatched and are ready to wear again.
Warm clothing is much appreciated at Compassion Soup Kitchen, especially as temperatures drop.
Recognising the shared values between both organisations, it was long-time volunteer and Zealandia Lead Bicultural Ranger Terese McLeod connected the sanctuary with the Sisters of Compassion.
